Hope and a Home’s mission is to empower low-income homeless families with children in DC to create stable homes of their own and to make lasting changes in their lives. Our mandate is to break the cycle of poverty for qualified families through the programs and services we offer. Hope and a Home’s unique, two-generation approach focuses on affordable housing, rewarding work, higher education, and valuable community connections. Hope and a Home currently serves 204 individuals (61 families) .

HopeLink inspires hope and provides support for individuals and families experiencing crisis and behavioral health challenges. Through innovative services and a collaborative approach, we strengthen our community one life at a time.

Arlington County has a core network of interconnected programs and services (called a Continuum of Care, or CoC) to assist people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The CoC includes County government programs/services and non-profit organizations. It provides a foundation for the broader community partnership working toward the shared goals of preventing homelessness before it occurs and returning homeless individuals and families to stable housing as quickly as possible.

Together with millions of supporters, the Humane Society of the United States takes on puppy mills, factory farms, the fur trade, trophy hunting, animal cosmetics testing and other cruel industries.

The Immigrant and Refugee Outreach Center (IROC) welcomes newcomers by delivering immediate material support and long-term help for navigating life in the US. We strive to provide tools to build a strong foundation for a prosperous future in the US by forging strong community ties among both newcomers and volunteers. Our values are empathy, responsiveness, and flexibility to adapt to the evolving challenges of the resettlement process.

The Museum's mission is to create compelling exhibitions and other learning experiences that shed light on the shadow world of espionage and intelligence, educating and challenging each of us to engage critically with the complex world around us.

Established in honor of Jenn Lawson, who lost her life in 2014, the Jennifer Bush-Lawson Foundation serves economically vulnerable mothers and babies by working to increase access to high-quality maternal and infant care and support. Jennifer was a loving, dedicated mother of three, driven to advocacy after receiving high-quality care during her own complicated pregnancies. JB-LF seeks to embody her generous spirit by giving all mothers and newborns the means to thrive.

The Junior League of Northern Virginia is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

Our mission: Empower youth with disabilities and impact volunteer coaches through participation in free, non-competitive, one-on-one programs of physical activity and fun, supporting the overall health and well-being of all participants.

The Kenmore PTSA is open for all Parents, Teachers, Students, and anyone else in the Arlington community to join! Membership dues support all PTSA-sponsored activities including, but not limited to, Teacher Appreciation Week and Teacher Grants. The PTSA offers enrichment activities for students and families.
