Friends of Montessori Education's mission is to raise scholarship funding in order to make a Montessori education available to all.

As the nation's center for the performing arts, the Kennedy Center is committed to increasing opportunities for all people to participate in and understand the arts. To fulfill that mission, the Center strives to commission, produce, and present performances reflecting the highest standards of excellence and diversity indicative of the world in which we live, and to make those performances accessible to the broadest possible audience through arts education.

The Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail supports the National Park Service in keeping the trail safe and welcoming for all users through education, trail maintenance, and community events.

g3ict is a disability advocacy organization focusing on technological accessibility for seniors and people with disabilities. We hold an annual conference in Crystal City in June which is looking for volunteers.

Mason Exhibitions offers a multi-venue forum for presentation of contemporary visual artists who advance research, dialogue, and learning around global social issues. Through its research partnership with Provisions Research Center for Arts and Social Change, Mason Exhibitions develops cross-disciplinary curatorial platforms to engage questions around philosophy, social justice, communications, conflict resolution, identity, technology, and sustainability.

Service Unit 60-5, as a member of the Nation' Capital Council, believes in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to change the world. We offer every girl the opportunity to discover who she is, what she can do, and connect her with a powerful community of girls and mentors to make it happen. With unique programs designed by girls, for girls, Girl Scouts explore, learn, succeed and take action to make a difference in their community.

Growth and Inspiration through Volunteering and Education (GIVE) is a student­ led 501(c)3 organization that works to provide students with the resources necessary to excel in academics and in leadership. GIVE was inspired by the need for civic engagement and the desire to improve our local community. Through our multiple programs, we serve as mentors to younger children, provide resources to underprivileged students, and attempt to leave our mark on the next generation through our efforts.

Good360 helps companies resolve the business challenge of responsibly distributing excess goods for maximum impact and in doing so, we help our nonprofit partners deliver on their own important missions. Individuals facing challenging life circumstances get the goods they need, generating hope, and products are given a new life, reducing waste and helping build resilient communities for the future.

The mission of Goodwin Hospice is to support, honor and uplift the lives of persons with advanced illness, their families and caregivers, through high quality and holistic end of life care, advocacy and compassion.

Greater DC Diaper Bank empowers families and individuals in need throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia by providing an adequate and reliable source for basic baby needs and personal hygiene products.

Haïti College Fund is dedicated to help end poverty in Haïti by providing students the opportunity to obtain post-secondary educations through fully subsidized scholarships to universities in Haïti. HCF is dedicated to addressing the long-term needs of the Haïtian people to overcome the never-ending cycle of poverty by addressing one of the core issues giving rise to their impoverishment: lack of access to higher education. Helping Haïti’s future—one student at a time.

Haven is a nonprofit, nonsectarian community organization of trained volunteers that offers emotional support to the bereaved, the seriously ill, the dying and to their families and friends. Haven also provides education to the community about the needs of those who are grieving.Since September 1976 Haven volunteers have helped individuals work through their grief, offering comfort and support by sharing insights, resources and techniques that encourage recovery and healing.
