Our Stomping Ground

PALS Programs

PALS Programs designs immersive experiences where young adults with Down syndrome and their peers have fun, grow as individuals, and build transformative friendships. Camp PALS is a week-long, overnight sleepaway camp run at 14 locations across the country from June-August.

Plot Against Hunger, Arlington House Kitchen Garden

Arlington House Kitchen Garden is a Plot Against Hunger site located in Arlington National Cemetery. We tend a 1/4 acre kitchen garden at the historic Arlington House. The produce we harvest is donated to Arlington food pantries. From March to November we have workdays Wednesday and Saturday mornings. We invite volunteers of all experience levels to join us in the garden!

Randolph Elementary School PTA

Randolph is a Title I, International Baccalaureate (IB) public elementary school. Students attending Randolph represent more than 40 different countries and speak 20 different languages; more than 70% of Randolph’s students come from families who are economically disadvantaged. RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline in partnership with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.
