Volunteer Arlington honors and recognizes individuals and groups who are making a difference in the Arlington community through volunteering at its annual Arlington Cares event. The event celebrates annual award winners and people who have spent 100 hours or more volunteering for an individual organization in the previous year.
We encourage our partner nonprofits to submit nominations for the awards and to join us at the nonprofit fair.
Each year, Volunteer Arlington looks forward to our MLK Day of Service in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. We will gather our partners and volunteers together in person and virtually to celebrate the civil rights leader’s life and legacy with “a day on, not a day off.”
We encourage our partner nonprofits and county departments to host a service project, listen-and-learn, DIY project, or other activity to engage willing volunteers from our community.
Volunteer Managers are given a one on one personal training to learn how to use the volunteer management tool. To learn more and sign up for a session, please contact us at info@volunteerarlington.org.

Participate in a meet and greet with participants at the Leadership Center of Arlington’s On Board training program. The next training is on Thursday, October 29.
As a Volunteer Arlington Partner, Nonprofit Executive Directors are invited to connect with individuals who have spent a day pursuing nonprofit board effectiveness and training. Executive Directors will have the chance to give a one-minute elevator pitch to the entire class and then have lunch with the participants.
