Lady Liberty Birthday Party Fundraiser

For 28 years, Just Neighbors has been providing immigration legal services for low-income immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers, helping them get legal immigration status through work authorization permits, green cards, and US citizenship.

Our annual fundraising event, Lady Liberty’s Birthday Party, is coming up on October 20, 2024, at The Garden (5380 Eisenhower Avenue, Suite C, Alexandria, VA 22304). This is an afternoon event with an international theme that includes food, drinks, live music, an auction, speeches from clients regarding their immigration journeys, and an award ceremony for volunteers that have gone above and beyond to support immigrant communities.

We receive approximately 40-60 requests for assistance each week, but only have the funding to serve 20% of requests. As a result, our goal for this event is $20,000 – allowing us to provide full legal representation for an additional 20 immigrant families than what we are currently able to serve. Early bird tickets are $40 a person until September 20th. Kids 11 and under are free. Tickets for kids 12 and above are $20 a person.
